Hi there!

My name is Margaret Koval and welcome to my website. I am a wife, mother, and long time pediatric nurse, living in beautiful central Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge. At my core I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those around me.

Just prior to the pandemic, I took my one and only art class at our local art school, and then we all know what happened! As a result, I am mostly self taught. Currently, I am exploring the realm of art, learning to paint and express my creativity through various mediums, originally starting with watercolor, then quickly falling head over heels for gouache! This artistic journey is a reflection of my desire to capture the beauty of everyday moments and share my experiences with others.

In painting, I find sanctuary—a space where my roles as a caregiver and an artist harmoniously converge, each enriching the other in profound ways.

I believe in the power of kindness and the importance of caring for each other and our planet. My journey is guided by a deep love for my family, friends, community and the earth, inspiring me to foster compassion and connection in all that I do.
